Told in the first person. An older woman recounts what life was like on the prairie in central Illinois in the 1830′s, 40′s, and 50′s, from daytime chores to the aboslute darkness at nights. Interwoven with 2-3 short Native American tales, with an emphasis on the moon of the current month. Can be adjusted for any season. 30 minutes.
